Errecom back to Chillventa: patent pending products and a technical speech
After the 2020 edition, which was turned into an online show due to the pandemic, Chillventa is back, ready to amaze and engage visitors with the greatest programme in its history. More than 800 exhibitors, guided tours, and three forums organised by topic, with more than 160 presentations: after four years of online contact, the Chillventa community is looking forward to coming together.

Another appointment not to be missed is the speech at the Chillventa forum by Dr Paolo Mattavelli, Errecom R&D Manager, on the 13th of October at 10 a.m. Our expert will analyse the lubrication of air-conditioning and refrigeration systems operating with low-GWP refrigerant gases, focusing on energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.
The transition to the refrigerant gases R-744, R-600, R-290, R-717, and HFO (and their blends) is related to the need of reducing the AC/R direct emissions and thus the release of high-GWP refrigerants into the atmosphere. Although this is a huge step forward for the HVAC/R sector, let’s not forget that those kinds of systems produce indirect emissions too: we are talking about CO2, which is released in greater quantities the lower the energy efficiency of the system. On the one hand, these new refrigerant gases have a considerably lower global warming potential but, on the other hand, they may create greater chemical instability in the systems in terms of operating pressures, solubility and, therefore, efficiency.
There’s no doubt that the market is following the right path, but there is clear room for improvement in terms of sustainability. Dr Mattavelli’s speech will explore this very topic and the solutions that Errecom’s chemistry offers to these problems.
The hope is that Chillventa will once again be a point of reference, a place for exchange and cooperation between the experts of the sector to define the guidelines for an increasingly critical future for AC/R systems, both from an environmental and an energy point of view.
