All the eyes are on Brescia: 1000 Miglia is about to start
375 vintage cars will be admitted to the thirty-ninth edition of the 1000 Miglia, following, for the first time in history, a new anticlockwise roadmap, always respecting the tradition of the route from Brescia to Rome and back, with stopovers in Viareggio and Bologna. The cars will start the race from Viale Venezia and will cross some of the most beautiful Italian cities such as Parma, Pisa, and Verona.
Recovery and rebirth represent this year’s competition. “We like to think of this edition of the 1000 Miglia as more than just a race: it’s a real chance for Italy to recovery and it can support tourism in all the cities we are about to meet” states Sir. Aldo Bonomi, explaining that the event, appreciated and followed all over the world, will be not only a showcase for the automotive industry, but also for Italy itself.
The vaccination campaign is proceeding smoothly and COVID-19 cases are falling. Optimism will be the driving force behind this edition because our country, now more than ever, also needs this, enthusiasm, lightness, and emotions.
“Ferrari Tribute” and “1000 Miglia Green”: two of the main events that, also this year, will contribute to the success of the race. In addition to the vintage cars, in fact, the prestigious international luxury car brand has also reconfirmed its participation in the event, to symbolise the Italian values around the world. The 1000 Miglia Green represents, on the other hand, a unique challenge: covering the entire route driving electric cars, to promote the concept of alternative and eco-sustainable mobility in a unique environment.
The 1000 Miglia is one of the few events in the world that fully embodies the Italian style and values. Excellence, tradition, and charm are represented here, in a timeless event in which Brescia, the lioness of Italy and Errecom’s city, plays a unique and exclusive role.
