Clima-Bact: Cleaning and Disinfection of Air Conditioners in a Single Product

This is the need behind Clima-Bact, the first biocidal cleaner-disinfectant formulated by Errecom specifically for air conditioners. Clima-Bact removes dirt, organic residues and contaminants from A/C filters, coils, casings of indoor and outdoor units, and plastic and metal surfaces. Its cleaning action is combined with broad-spectrum disinfectant action, offering complete treatment of air conditioner surfaces.
The product is a registered biocide with authorisation number EU-0036908-0001 under BPR Regulation (EU) No. 528/2012. Its disinfectant activity is validated according to European EN standards, with bactericidal, yeasticidal and virucidal efficacy against enveloped viruses.
The formulation is based on lactic acid, a 100% biobased and fully biodegradable ingredient. It contains no alcohol, quaternary ammonium salts or triclosan, is non-flammable and CLP-free. Clima-Bact is also classified as a PT2 and PT4 biocide for the disinfection of surfaces and equipment, including in food environments, and is suitable for HACCP applications.
Thanks to its versatility, it is suitable for residential, commercial and industrial air conditioning systems, A/C systems in refrigerated vehicles and transport vehicles (trains, boats and aircraft), as well as cold rooms, refrigerated counters and wine coolers.
