Cybersecurity: Errecom Among the Supporters of the New Postgraduate Master’s Programme at the University of Brescia
Cybersecurity is now a strategic capability for businesses. The increasing digitalisation of processes, the interconnection of systems, the management of sensitive data, and the need to protect corporate know-how have made digital security an increasingly central issue for the industrial sector.
Against this backdrop, the Postgraduate Master’s in Cybersecurity and Integrated Corporate Compliance – MaSCAI has been introduced at the University of Brescia for the 2026/2027 academic year. The course, lasting one year and worth 60 CFU credits, will run from October 2026 to October 2027 and is promoted within SMAE – School of Management and Advanced Education.
Errecom is among the companies that have supported the launch of this new Master’s, demonstrating its commitment to academic pathways capable of developing the increasingly specialised skills required by today’s industrial landscape.
MaSCAI stands out for its multidisciplinary approach, combining cybersecurity, compliance, governance and risk management. The course addresses digital security not only as a technical discipline, but as a cross-functional topic involving law, information systems, artificial intelligence, privacy, supply chain management and risk analysis.
For Errecom, recognising the value of this initiative means responding to a concrete need within the business world: bringing university education closer to the real needs of companies and contributing to the development of skills that are now essential for business continuity, competitiveness and process security.
Digital security is no longer a concern limited to IT companies or large technological infrastructures. It is an issue that affects every organisation, regardless of the sector in which it operates. Even a chemical company such as Errecom, seemingly far removed from the world of information technology, manages data, processes, management systems, communications, international business relationships and strategic information every day — all of which must be protected.
For this reason, cybersecurity has become a company-wide culture: it requires awareness, preparation and preventive capabilities at every level. Investing in the education of new professionals therefore means contributing to the development of a more prepared, resilient and future-ready industrial ecosystem.
The official call for applications for the Postgraduate Master’s Programme has now been published. For further information and to apply, please visit the official website of the University of Brescia.
