A vehicle cooling system, which is mainly composed of a radiator, a fan, and a water pump, is designed to keep the temperature at which the engine operates constant, regardless of weather conditions and vehicle use (hot, cold, uphill, downhill, acceleration, etc.).<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s find out how it works. The radiator is a tank that captures air from the outside, and whose purpose is to cool the coolant after it has passed through the engine, to collect the extra heat produced by combustion. Once cooled by the radiator, this liquid is ready to be put back into the engine. These alternating heat-gathering and cooling steps keep the engine cool and prevent your vehicle from overheating. Another important component of the vehicle cooling system is the fan, which further helps lower the temperature. The water pump, on the other hand, allows the coolant to circulate or it would not be able to move towards the radiator to cool down and the engine temperature would rise with no limit, causing irreversible damage to your vehicle.<\/p>\n

The presence of dirt, grime, limescale or corrosion in the vehicle cooling system can damage the water pump, block the radiator, or even cause coolant leaks. Therefore, cleaning the cooling system is a key step in the maintenance process of any vehicle to ensure its stability and safety.<\/p>\n

Before cleaning the cooling system, make sure that the engine is completely cooled down. Then empty the old coolant from the cooling system and use professional and safe cleaning products.<\/p>\n
